How do you get 3 months of Apple TV with a Mac mini?

Set up the new Mac mini, sign in with the Apple Account that will own the subscription, update to the latest supported macOS, and open the Apple TV app. If Apple confirms eligibility, redeem the three-month device offer within 90 days after first setup. It then renews at $12.99 a month unless canceled; the offer is limited to new and qualified returning subscribers and one claim per Apple Account and Family Sharing group.

  3. The subscriber must be new or a qualified returning Apple TV subscriber. Apple limits the promotion to one offer per Apple Account and one per Family Sharing group, regardless of how many eligible devices the person or family buys. It is unavailable when the account or family previously accepted an Apple TV three-month-free or one-year-free device offer.
  4. To redeem, turn on and set up the Mac mini, sign in with the intended Apple Account, install the latest supported macOS, open the Apple TV app, and select the Apple TV tab if the offer does not appear immediately. Choose Enjoy 3 Months Free only when the confirmation still shows a $0 start, three months, the correct Apple Account, and the expected monthly renewal.
  5. The current U.S. Apple TV page lists the device offer at three months free and the ordinary new-subscriber trial at seven days, with both leading to $12.99 a month unless canceled. Do not start the seven-day trial in the hope that a missing Mac offer will expand later; troubleshoot the device offer first and use the exact screen Apple presents.
  6. At the current $12.99 monthly price, three free months avoid up to $38.97 before tax compared with paying for those same three months. This is streaming value, not a cash rebate or a discount on the Mac mini, and it saves nothing for someone who would not otherwise pay for Apple TV after checking the available shows and device support.
  7. One Apple TV subscription can be shared with up to six people through Family Sharing, but the one-offer-per-family rule also means another family member's earlier device claim can make the new Mac mini ineligible. Confirm the owning Apple Account and Family Sharing history before assuming each new family device creates another three-month period.
  8. The offer covers the Apple TV subscription, not third-party subscription services, MLS Season Pass, rentals, or purchased movies and shows inside the Apple TV app. A tile appearing in the app does not prove it is included. Open the program page and check for a separate price, channel trial, rental, or purchase button before relying on the three-month subscription.
  9. If the offer is missing, confirm the Mac mini was bought new from Apple or an authorized reseller, update macOS, sign in to the correct Apple Account, reopen the Apple TV tab, check that fewer than 90 days have passed since setup, and review prior device offers for the account and family. Use Apple's eligibility checker or support before accepting a shorter trial or paying; a retailer receipt alone cannot override the account result.
  10. To stop renewal on the Mac, open the App Store, select the account name, choose Account Settings, open Subscriptions, select Apple TV, and choose Cancel Subscription. Apple's current cancellation instructions say to cancel a free or discounted trial at least 24 hours before it ends. A missing Cancel button or a red expiration message means Apple already shows it canceled.
  11. Save the offer confirmation, redemption date, renewal date, renewal price, Apple Account, and cancellation confirmation. Do not remove a payment method, delete the TV app, or erase the Mac mini as a substitute for cancellation. If a receipt or bank statement shows that another company owns the billing, cancel with that company rather than assuming the Mac's subscription screen controls it.
  12. The new-device Apple Music promotion is separate. A Mac mini buyer who also sees a three-month Apple Music offer must satisfy that service's different new-subscriber and one-offer rules, redeem it in the Music app, and manage its $11.99 monthly renewal separately. Redeeming or canceling one service does not by itself redeem or cancel the other.
