Requirements
Be at least 18, register a McDonald’s online-services account, opt in to MyMcDonald’s Rewards, and identify the account before completing an eligible purchase at a participating U.S. restaurant. Earn 100 points per eligible dollar actually paid. Use the app or other supported McDonald’s online service to exchange points, starting at 1,500 points under the current public program. If the account was not identified before purchase, a receipt-based manual adjustment can be requested within seven days.
How to activate
In the McDonald’s app, opt in to Rewards and identify the account by ordering while signed in, scanning the QR code, or giving the displayed four-digit code before ordering. To redeem, open Rewards & Deals, choose one currently available reward, and add it to a mobile, in-restaurant, Drive Thru, or eligible in-app McDelivery order.
Cost basis
Qualifying purchase required. The benefit is earned only when the user makes an eligible underlying purchase.
Cost and fees
There is no separate program membership fee, but eligible purchases are required to earn points. Taxes, bag and bottle fees, other surcharges, money loaded onto an Arch Card, and McDonald’s-app delivery fees do not earn points. Delivery prices and fees can be higher. Only one reward can be exchanged at a time; points expire on the first day of the month after six months from when they were earned, expire immediately if the member opts out or closes the account, and are permanently deducted when a selected reward is redeemed even if the order is later canceled.
