Requirements
Open and fund a new Associated Bank personal checking account by September 30, 2026, make the required $25 Access Checking or $100 Balanced/Choice Checking opening deposit, and receive recurring direct deposits totaling at least $500 from an employer or government agency within 90 days. Associated Bank calculates the sum of average daily balances across eligible personal checking, savings, money-market, IRA, and CD accounts under the same primary owner for days 31–90: $1,000–$4,999.99 earns $300, $5,000–$9,999.99 earns $400, and $10,000 or more earns $600. Person-to-person payments and transfers do not satisfy the direct-deposit requirement. Keep the checking account open through payment and for at least 12 months; the bank may deduct the bonus before an earlier closure.
How to activate
Open online from the official offer page or obtain an offer code for a branch opening, fund the account by September 30, complete the $500 direct-deposit requirement within 90 days, and maintain the desired eligible combined-balance tier during days 31–90. The bonus is scheduled within 120 days of opening.

Deposit or balance activity required. The benefit requires opening, funding, maintaining, or using an account through deposits, direct deposit, balances, or qualifying transactions. Deposited principal is not necessarily a fee, but funds may be tied up and account charges may apply.
Cost and fees
Access Checking requires $25 to open and has no monthly maintenance fee. Balanced and Choice Checking require $100 to open and have account-specific monthly-fee waiver conditions; the bonus balance test is separate from those fee rules. The bonus may be taxable.
