Requirements
In-school youth are generally ages 14 through 21 and out-of-school youth ages 16 through 24. The applicant must meet the applicable school-status, low-income where required, and statutory barrier category and comply with local residence, documentation, assessment, Selective Service, priority, and enrollment rules. Local areas focus most funding on out-of-school youth.

Use the Department of Labor link to find the nearest American Job Center or local youth workforce provider, request WIOA youth intake, and complete age, school status, barrier, income where applicable, and other eligibility verification plus an objective assessment and service strategy.
