Requirements
The participant must be accepted by a local Talent Search project and meet current federal and project rules. Projects primarily serve people ages 11 through 27, with at least two-thirds of participants both low-income and potential first-generation college students; citizenship or qualifying federal-aid residency rules and local service priorities apply.
How to activate
Find a local Talent Search project through the federal TRIO project directory or a participating school or organization, contact it directly, and complete its participant application and eligibility documentation.
Cost basis
No-cost access. The core benefit has no required payment, purchase, deposit, paid membership, or pre-existing paid-product relationship under the captured terms.
Cost and fees
Federally funded project services are free to participants. Project admission is not guaranteed, and tuition, application fees, testing, travel, or other outside education costs may remain unless separately waived or covered.
