Requirements
Eligibility depends on a current local initiative. Programs can serve adults currently incarcerated or returning from incarceration, formerly incarcerated adults, and youth or young adults who are justice-involved or at risk, with specific age, facility, release-window, residence, referral, risk, and service-area rules.
How to activate
Review the Department of Labor's current REO grantee list and map, identify a project serving the person's facility or community and population, and contact that grantee or correctional reentry staff for referral and intake.
Cost basis
No-cost access. The core benefit has no required payment, purchase, deposit, paid membership, or pre-existing paid-product relationship under the captured terms.
Cost and fees
Federally funded project services are free to enrolled participants, but REO is not a universal nationwide enrollment program. Openings, referrals, paid work, legal remedies, supportive funds, credentials, and job placement depend on the current grant and are not guaranteed.
