JTA provides category-specific free and reduced fares for older adults, riders with disabilities, students, young children, and other eligible riders.

What it unlocks: Free fixed-route rides for approved senior STAR cardholders and eligible Duval students, reduced fares for other qualifying riders, and fare-free Skyway and NAVI service.
Who qualifies: Eligible JTA free-fare or reduced-fare rider
Requirements: Eligibility and proof vary by category. Some riders must obtain a STAR card or present school, age, disability, Medicare, or other approved identification.
How to activate: Select the qualifying fare program, complete any required application or card process, and use the approved credential when riding.
Cost basis: Variable by provider or eligibility. The user's out-of-pocket cost cannot be represented by one fixed amount because it depends on provider policy, income, household, geography, selected service, coverage group, subsidy amount, or the underlying program. It may be free, reduced, sliding-scale, or partly paid.
Cost and fees: Some services and rider categories are free; others require the published reduced fare or card-related fee.
