Requirements
Guided Tax has an annual adjusted-gross-income limit. Free File Fillable Forms do not use that income limit but require the taxpayer to prepare the return. Provider eligibility and supported state returns vary.

Start from the IRS Free File page, choose an approved option, and complete that provider's eligibility flow.
Cost basis
No-cost access. The core benefit has no required payment, purchase, deposit, paid membership, or pre-existing paid-product relationship under the captured terms.
