Requirements
Fit a current youth, senior, Medicare, or disability category, obtain or carry required PRONTO fare media and proof, and follow age, expiration, route, validation, transfer, companion, and rider rules.
How to activate
Review the applicable category, obtain the required PRONTO card or account and eligibility proof, then tap or validate it on each eligible trip.
Cost basis
Variable by provider or eligibility. The user's out-of-pocket cost cannot be represented by one fixed amount because it depends on provider policy, income, household, geography, selected service, coverage group, subsidy amount, or the underlying program. It may be free, reduced, sliding-scale, or partly paid.
Cost and fees
Eligible youth ages 6–18 currently ride free through June 30, 2027; other approved groups pay reduced fares, and replacement media or excluded service may cost extra.
